About Varnell Gaines DMD PC
Located at 1930 Highland Ave Suite C, Augusta, GA 30904, Varnell Gaines DMD PC operates as a dentist serving Augusta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ6 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Varnell Gaines DMD PC at (706) 738-0482; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Had been going to this dentist office for myself for a few years and recently took my little one as a first timer. He was only around 3 when we went. Someone called in who is not on any of my childβs charts and asked multiple questions in regards to treatment needed and insurance and they gave it to them. Straight violated my sonβs person/medical info. I reached out bc the information was used against me in a custody battle since my child had one cavity. Instead of righting the wrong they made they kicked my son out and recommended we see a new dentist. I was already going to do that but the audacity of them to do it first. Protect your info just go to another dentist.

My daughter went two different times, they dont stay on task, way to many students. Too many chiefs and not enough indians!! My daughter was kept out of school for two days, they brought her in and kept wanting us to keep coming back, to try and get approved for them to pull a tooth! Office is disgusting!!

From start to finish this Dentist office has no integrity or professionalism whatsoever. The front office has lack of communication skills, no phone etiquette and they also know nothing about dentistry whatsoever. The main woman in the front office who I believe to be the front office manager, if thatβs the title she gives herself is very rude and outspoken with no knowledge. Anytime I ask to speak to the dentist she wants to over speak to you and act like she is a dentist. When my oldest daughter got a root canal, they put no temporary covering on the root canal too, so it was left exposed and vulnerable. I have enough knowledge to know that you were supposed to put a temporary covering root canal to protect the tooth until you come back for the permanent covering and both the Dentist and the front office manager informed me that the tooth was fine and that they donβt do that anymore with new technology now. Furthermore, the dentist missed a simple step when doing a simple feeling on my other daughterβs teeth, so I refuse to return to the office. I called several times. Left several voicemails to cancel all further appointments. After doing so I received several voicemails from se
